Participant Feedback

Participating in the project “Risks&challenges youth face nowadays”  in Cyprus was an incredible experience both as a participant and also as someone to lead the workshops. I had the chance to learn and share various teaching methods, fostering a great exchange of knowledge about different problems and different methods to fight them. I made amazing international friends and future colleagues, I hope.  Immersed myself in the beauty of Cyprus. Now, I’m filled with energy and eager to return home, where I can apply these fresh ideas and techniques to support and inspire young people for a better future.

Many methods to apply in my work with young people and I met wonderful people. I learned at this seminar about the risks faced by young people from other countries and how youth workers manage to deal with them. I am grateful that I could participate in this seminar to learn new things and meet wonderful people. Thanks Reno for the opportunity. Until the next meeting, I greet you all!

This Erasmus+ seminar experience was an enriching and transformative journey, offering me a range of opportunities for personal growth, cultural exchange, and skills development. I also had the chance to present the realities from Romania about the main risks and challenges that youths have. During the workshop that me and me colleague runs it was a good chance to check  my trainer's skills and also to share from my personal and professional experience.

Another plus for me was  to meet people from all over Europe. Building relationships with peers, mentors, and professionals from diverse backgrounds can open doors to future collaborations and opportunities.

I thank to NECI EU for giving me this opportunity!

This week we shared all the problems of different countries that young people are facing. We tried to find different solutions for them and how to reduce them. Also at the intercultural evening we presented the country with traditional dances, food, etc. It was a great experience.

The seminar on youth challenges was both insightful and inspiring. It shed light on the many difficulties young people face today, such as digital addiction, social isolation, and the pressure to succeed. What stood out to me was how universal these issues are, yet each country and community has its own way of addressing them. I learned that supporting young people isn’t just about giving advice - it’s about creating safe spaces where they feel heard and empowered to express themselves.

I especially enjoyed the interactive elements, like music and group discussions, which made complex topics easier to explore. Collaborating with people from different backgrounds showed me new approaches to youth work that I can apply in my own practice. The experience left me feeling motivated and more equipped to help young people navigate their challenges with creativity and understanding.

During this erasmus seminar I had the opportunity to learn from other youth workers. I have learned about different approaches of youth work like using theatre, music and dancing. During the discussions I got to know more about youth work in other countries, and compared how different the situation is.
I'm coming back from this experience with many new methods and ideas that I look forward to implementing in my local community and work.

Together with a colleague from YC “Bāze,” we went to this seminar to share our experience of working with youth and to learn new methods from other participants from six different countries.

On the first day, we did some team-building activities, which helped us work better as a group during the seminar. Throughout the seminar, we learned about the risks and challenges that youth face nowadays in each participant’s country. We also learned about new non-formal education methods that could help young people see different perspectives and maybe avoid some of these challenges.

We also shared our method, which was about mental health, because we believe that these kinds of activities can help young people look deeper into themselves, understand their values, and see what they might need to change to improve their well-being. We chose this method because young people's mental health is one of the reasons they migrate to other countries.

All the methods we learned during this seminar were useful because we can use them in our future work with youth in our country.

Attending the seminar on youth challenges was an eye-opening experience. It highlighted the many struggles young people face today, from mental health issues to social pressures and job insecurity. Hearing different perspectives from participants across various countries helped me understand how these challenges vary but also how similar they are worldwide. One of the most valuable takeaways was the importance of creative expression—music, storytelling, and group activities proved to be powerful tools for connecting with young people and addressing their struggles in a meaningful way. What I enjoyed most was the collaborative atmosphere. Engaging in discussions, sharing ideas, and working on hands-on activities like songwriting made the learning process dynamic and inspiring. It was also encouraging to see how passionate youth workers are about making a difference. This experience reinforced my belief that small, creative interventions can have a lasting impact on young people’s well-being.

During this experience I learned a lot of valueable things. I gained experience on how to do a workshop. It was a pleasure to participate in their workshops and have them participate in ours. I learned about the problems the youth faces in their countries and how they think it can be fixed.

I was really anxious about presenting the workshop as this was my very first time. They were great to work with and they provided valuable feedback. It was also a very exciting to see their cultures. I will share this experience with my friends.

During my experience with NECI EU, i learned a lot. First it taught me how is it to work with people that i dont know from other countries. It was such a pleasure to listen, watch and participate in their workshops  and learn about the problems that youths face in their countries. I experienced a lot of new things and got to chance to present our own presentation/workshop to them, which showed me a lot about their opinions about mines and the problems youths face in Cyprus. Now i have more ideas about those problems and in their countries’ and could see different point of views on how to solve them.

I enjoyed the time we spent together, all the learning process and i gained a lot from it. Seeing their culture was also really nice.

I’m definetly looking for more and i see this event as a perfect start.

As a participant I felt very good. The program of the project was good, I really entered that we can experience each other workshops and it was very interesting. No complaints at all. It was very surprising to hear and learn about other countries risks and challenges that the youth faces, it made me think a lot and I also loved that we could have free discussions and they were very respectful and and understanding. As a workshop leader I also felt excellent! Everyone was participating and they all did very good job. The participants also loved our workshop and everything went as planned. The participants were very positive about the workshop and I am very happy that I could share my knowledge with other countries

Amanda

I learned a lot during the project. From others, I learned how to set up a workshop, which topics interest young people, what problems they face, and some strategies to address them. Through discussions, I exchanged different opinions with people from other countries. Although our perspectives were different, we managed to find common ground through respectful conversation.

While working on my own workshop, I learned how to improvise in challenging situations or when participants were unwilling to engage in certain activities. I learned how to create a good atmosphere and structure a workshop efectively. I enjoyed my workshop because I designed it myself and focused on a topic that is close to me and that I can talk about extensively. I presented an activity related to theater, other people's ideas, and accepting change, which I believe is important in the lives of young people.
